Can Vat be claimed on staff entertaining ?

Yes, all employees need to be invited. It has to be an annual event and the limit is £150 per employee.

If the employee brings a guest, you can claim £150 as well. So you can reclaim VAT on £300.

Also the £300 can be deducted from your tax bill because it is an allowable expense.
